Who We Are

UP-UK Neuroscience Society

The UP-UK Neuroscience Society (UPUKNSS) is a premier scientific organization bringing together the finest neurological minds of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Founded in 2005, the society has grown into a powerful platform for neuroscientists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, and allied healthcare professionals.

The society serves as the apex body for neuroscience in the region, advocating for better patient care, promoting scientific research, organizing world-class conferences, and providing continuing medical education to its members.

We collaborate with national and international bodies including the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN) and the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) to bring the latest advances to our members.

Our Journey

Milestones that shaped our society

2005
Society Founded
UP-UK Neuroscience Society was established with the mission to unite neurologists across Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
2007
First Annual Conference
The inaugural annual conference was held at KGMU Lucknow with 150+ delegates from across India.
2010
500-Member Milestone
Society crossed the 500-member mark, establishing itself as a major regional neuroscience body.
2013
CME Program Launch
Launched monthly CME programs and webinar series for continuing medical education.
2016
Research Grant Initiative
Introduced the UPUKNSS Research Grant program to fund neuroscience research in the region.
2018
Digital Transformation
Launched the digital membership platform and online voting system.
2020
Virtual Conferences
Successfully conducted virtual conferences during the pandemic, reaching a wider audience.
2023
International Collaborations
Signed MoUs with international neuroscience societies for global knowledge exchange.
2025
20th Annual Conference
Celebrated 20 years of excellence with a landmark conference attended by 1000+ delegates.
